We are so proud of our African compatriots who are going to be part of Harlem’s ‘The Shadows Took Shape‘.  This is a dynamic interdisciplinary exhibition exploring contemporary art through the lens of Afrofuturist aesthetics.

‘The Shadows Took Shape’ explores the ways in which this form of creative expression has been adopted internationally and highlight the range of work made over the past twenty-five years.  A wide variety of media will be used.

Cyrus Kabiru will be showcasing his unique glasses from the C-Stunners collection, while Wangechi Mutu will have her great art media work on display. Wanuri Kahiu will have her short sci-fi film, Pumzi included as part of this celebration.  Kiluanji Kia Henda (Angola), John Akomfrah, Harold Offeh, and Kodwo Eshun will also feature.

‘The Shadows Took Shape’ will run from November 14, 2013 until March 9, 2014 at The Studio Museum in Harlem.  It is definitely one worth seeing.
